Age Limit | |||
• Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. • In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years. | |||
Qualification | |||
• Passed Matriculation/ 10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt. recognised School/ Board. • Candidates must have proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo, pitch and singing one complete song. • Candidates must have proficiency in playing any one instrument as applicable for IAF.. • Candidates should have any one of the following experience certificates:- (i) Grade 5th or equivalent or above in one instrument from a recognised music institute such as TCL or RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI, Berklee School of Music etc. OR (ii) Diploma or equivalent in the field of music for candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognised university. OR (iii) Certificate of participation/ awards presented at various events. For such candidates, performance/ playing of blowing instruments with staff notation as mentioned in Educational QRs. | |||
Mandatory Medical Standards | |||
(i) For Male candidates. • Minimum acceptable height is 162 cms. • Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cms. (ii) For Female candidates. • Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms. • For candidates (female only) of North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand ethnicity, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case candidates of Lakshadweep ethnicity, the minimum height will be 150 cms • The chest wall should be well proportioned and should be with minimum range of expansion of 05 cms. | |||
